Chocolate and Peppermint Cake for Chirstmas Day

This cake was just as Heather said it would be...a showstopper. It was so easy to make and was a huge success. I think the biggest part for me was making my own butter cream frosting! I am definitely going to make another one before the season is over.

*Favorite compliment (from my sister): "This dessert is so decadent."

How is Jon's grandma??

ha - just saw your comment - the aprons that we had actually were the kids "Santas Little Helper" aprons! They were a little short, but oh so cute!

Thanks! Jon's Grandmother is about the same. They keep her heavily medicated so that she can be comfortable. Thanks so much for asking. It was so good to see that your dad is okay.

I recognize the aprons now! They are adorable. I'm guessing the little elf hats were too small to wear?
